So, I had to talk to my wife a little about the last panel. After going back and rereading this, I realized that we're not really sure what's made Chucky so upset. Is he crying for Merry because he'll miss her, or is he crying because he thinks she was his only chances at getting laid? I almost changed his lines in the thought cloud because I thought it seemed too selfish. Then I realized how genuine his way of thinking is. I totally thought like that when I was his age.

Small school with the aviation major having an even smaller student body. So everyone knows each other and is pretty tight. Professor Glenford is also only 10 years older than everyone, young enough to not be jaded by decades of teaching. I was fortunate enough to have a college experience with teachers like him.
I think Chucky's crying because I'm guessing that's the second time he has been intimately close with someone and still it hurts when someone close has to go away for whatever reason without you.... Plus sometimes heartbreak can stir up old memories and add fuel to the emotional fire....
