"With layers of fur, molds of wire and clay, with insertions of plastic here and there, and the knowledge of sewing two thing together, you can make a full out suit that is molded after your inner fursona. You can parade in front of crowds, act silly, hug others who are willing, and never feel ashamed of it. You walk around with only a drawn badge of your character's name, your real identity concealed behind the fursuit. Male or female on the inside, no one will know unless you are willing to share. You live another life behind the mask, a life that you can create with a false smile upon your mask. You are living on Halloween Day every time you wear your fursuit.

"When you take off your costume, you go back to your normal life. You are you and not your character. You are back into the real world through your eyes and not through your fursuit. When I take off my suit, I felt sad, almost like I was not ready to face the real world mentally. You feel cold and uncomfortable for a few minutes when you take off your suit, not to mention sweaty and hot.

"Why can’t we live through the characters we created? Wouldn't life be better? Wouldn't it be grand to restart your life through the body of another you created? Right now, I have to get undressed and put my fursuit away, and wait until the next convention where I could be someone completely different."
