Reminds me of the Star Trek Orion Pirates videogame I used to play. Standard battle tactic was to supercharge the fore shields at the expense of the rear shields, prepare an anti-plasma Wild Weasel shuttle, and fire all weapons from near point-blank range. Executed correctly, the enemy ship could be crippled before they had a chance to come up with a counterstrategy,
