I have to admit that before yesterday (wtf?!?! seems like so much longer) I'd never paid close attention to anyone playing the traditional violin... this is way different, I still say it's like Gregorian (spelling?) throat singing in terms of it having two sounds playing harmoniously at the same time... I also like this tuning a lot... you went into it really smoothly as well, it didn't just suddenly 'start' or 'end'. mreow.
*laughs* Tuvian throat singing is where you pinch your throat to create two harmonizing sounds. Gregorian chanting is stuff like this: http://www.nealstephenson.com/anathem/music.htm (Although the subject matter isn't often nearly as awesome.)
