Well, this happens when I really start drawing... And also this (an accompanying novel).
This is the first time I used a tablet to make something rather serious, without that I don't think I could have done all this detailing. I mean all this detailing (link points to my site where you can get it in 1920x1200).

Related, I also published some material on airworthiness (and other stuff over this image and story). I sunk deep in this matter trying to get this being plausible. He is still not entirely airworthy: making a large creature (really) fly is a very (!) complex task! Since I did the my research in parallel with drawing him, I couldn't incorporate everything which I probably would if I started fresh. Still, I am content with what I got to the end, it definitely has some feel of real soaring.
Later I also wrote a medieval novel covering this wyvern, Outbreak to the Sky
