Madmen-Asylum longest night- 12 Pediophobia
I had a talk with my friend Kregl and I talked about adopting a broken doll adoptable; she replied that I would do a better work if I used my OC Angerona the dead fox: she is practically an undead stuffed animal which can shift form into a human, but she never had been human so she is quite creepy.
I know I already used her for 'Madmen-Asylum longest night-9 Micromania' but when I thought about that talk I couldn't help but seeing Angie like an evil puppet. So here the result. XD
For more about this pretty... undead... silver fox... kemonomimi?... whatever she is... look in my gallery and scraps.
Midnight: Pediophobia
A relatively common phobia, the fear of dolls is usually centered on humanoid looking dolls. This ranges from old-fashioned china dolls to dolls that talk and move. The fear of dolls is considered a branch of “automatonphobia”, or the fear of human-like things. The Japanese Roboticist Masahiro Mori came up with the “uncanny valley” theory. It proposes that as an object, moves towards becoming more familiar in human likeness from its functionality, it slowly becomes more popular because of familiarization to the object from the standpoint of a person. However there is a huge gap from this point to a regular healthy human and that is the uncanny valley. The uncanny valley exists where we look at something that is inherently human-looking but without some fundamental attributes that makes it human. And that elicits a negative response from us.
Notable example: Kurt Sutter, American screenwriter, director and producer (most notably the TV series Sons of Anarchy) has pediophobia.
I own my OC Angerona, but dead foxes are a Kregl original species and she gave me the permission to make an OC.
This work is for inspiration in a contest, and since I'm a judge I CAN'T WIN. So why you don't think about joining this challenge? There are great prizes.
