4th Generation Nuclear Armor (Retry)
Updating an older pic. Shade and shadow included. Also, particle effects!
~~~
Fourth generation of Nuclear Armor, for use against Supremians and other superhuman entities. Far more powerful than the previous Nuke Suit generations, this armor incorporates the use of an external repulsive field, structural reinforcement field, self-reinforcing thermionic capacitors, inertia dampeners, predictive A.I., cybernetic quantum interface, direct nuclear propulsion, distributed liquid thorium fuel, and an in-built Nuclear Focus device. This Nuke Suit is rated to take on Level 9 superhuman entities and up.
While still unable to make use of nuclear fusion reactors beyond fission ignition, this armor's reactor is sufficiently optimized to make use of strangelet-reinforced fissile material, a kind of high-density matter that uses strange quarks to reinforce heavier atomic nuclei. This 'strange fuel' rivals the power of nuclear fusion, without the hefty power requirements. This exotic fuel's power comes from its unique nuclear bonding properties; the strange fuel is stable after being assimilated into a heavy nuclei, capable of breaking apart again once the minimum mass is reached to unleash additional energy through explosive decompression. Igniting the fuel is difficult and requires energetic neutrons, as nuclei tend to be more strongly bound when more than two quarks are used to create nucleons, especially in the case of Lambda baryons.
A prototype 'quantum reactor' is also available, designed to transfer energy straight from an external nuclear reactor and into the Nuke Suit's systems. This allows for power levels far exceeding that of a normal Nuke Suit, especially considering the 4th generation's robust self-reinforcing thermionic capacitors. However, due to the possibility of quantum decoherence between the armor and the external power source, this reactor is generally not recommended.
