Your haircut will definitely save you grooming time for a few weeks until it grows out again. You'll be able to wash your face and workout without having to tie hair up. This particular style will also dissuade some of the more overzealous types from approaching you in public to hit on you for rather obvious reasons. Now you can focus on getting some sun on those flush cheeks.
