Hopefully he'll return once he finds the Buddyfighter he was searching for and assist the others again. Both versions are pretty cute (the PJ one seems more fitting imo) and pretty close to the anime. Does make me wonder how odd things were when it came to sleeping though (mainly for Drum). :P
