Congrats, you two! Have you decided on a name yet?

Still too early to know the gender (we're at the start of week 13 - they can't really tell the sex until 20 weeks) but we just had the first ultrasound last Wednesday and I can confirm there is definitely a baby in there. Seriously one of the most amazing moments of life right there watching this little human that's the size of a peach flip around and move it's limbs on the screen. The ultrasound tech was trying to get a view of it from each side to check for any abnormalities and it just did not want to cooperate, lol. Even got to hear the heartbeat... God... it was awesome.

I have a brother and Lorna has two brothers. The generally consensus among the family is GIRL (Lorna's Grandfather called it and both our Mother's are begging for it), and we have a few girl names that we both really like. But the ultrasound tech informed us (first time I'd heard this little sign!) that an early indicator of gender CAN be the heart-rate of the fetus around the the 12-13 week mark - slightly slower heart-rate for boys than girls - and our little sea monkey there fell into the slightly slower heart -rate category. So who knows? Still early.... and we have absolutely ZERO boys names we like so it will probably be a boy then

Freya, Zoe, and Ariana are the top three Girl picks.

Mario, Luigi, Guiseppie, Sparticus, Brock Sampson... - all the good Boys names are too stereotypical for an Italian child or just get shot down outright by my wife, lmao.
