IBSFA player race request of ferolux as a Zaan Undying, a type of Undead.

The Zaan where an ancient people who achieved a form of immortality like that of a Lich. Unlike a Lich, the Zaan Undying's body does not rot or decay, although their appearance does change somewhat. Zaan Undying are somewhat like vampires in that they require drinking life essence from living beings to continue their existence - this is the source of the warm glow emitting from within their bodies. If a Zaan Undying does not regularly feed, the glow will eventually die down and they would become Husks; slow, weak, mindless monsters.

A Zaan Undying can create a minion known as a Zaan Thrall from a living being by giving them a small part of their life essence. The Thrall would become stronger and faster, but would also become submissive to their master's orders.
