I made this last year for Halloween and didn't submit it then, (being a member since september last year), cause I'm smart like that. We do up a haunted house at my place, and last year we put in a sound system that played throughout the entire graveyard (front yard), garage and giant army tent (on my driveway).

Instead of using the voiceover with Disneys haunted house music that I put together the year before, I wanted to come up with an errie soundscape. Now, I tend to have problems making "non-song" oriented music, cause I don't usually create in a non-structured way. I'm more you know, verse pre-chorus chorus verse etc, so this was a big thing for me to come up with something that I thought was pretty good, and I still do.

K, was that rabbling enough for ya? Brass tax, brass tax...In here I've got a bunch of sound effects I scavanged from the four corners of the internet, but a better chunk of the things in here I actually made myself.
Obvious SFX; bats, thunder rolling, knocking, heart beat, evil laughs n shit, rain, wolves and bell tolling at the end.

A whole lot of it, is ambient synths I had/have or downloaded just for this. I played some pads, sampled other weird effects synths and just generally haunting, ambient stuff. Also...a church organ, because I have an affinity for creepy sounding church organs, which I actually played in this, cause Kontakt has a good organ patch.

Took a while to get it all right, get what I wanted, and put it together in a way that it kinda told a story as it moves through the parts; thunder rolling in the distance, builds up and gets closer, then the rains die down and you move through the cave into the lair of the organ player, performing to his audience of howling fans. Us furries perhaps?
