According to the Wiki the Ferrari *is* a 308 GTS. I grew up always hearing it was a Testarossa, hence the link.

Hah there you go. Yeah they're similar, easy mistake for sure. But yeah you're right it was Miami Vice that had a Testarossa. I forgot all about that. Which makes it even easier to mix up, two very popular 80s shows with a red Ferrari of a similar time frame (which IMO is the color any Ferrari should be). Though I'd much rather have the Testarossa personally.

BION, I never watched Miami Lice, and Magnum P.I. was totally mom's show (Hawai'i, bitches! HAWAI'I!!!). I just remember hearing all the time that "Oh! Magnum drives that hot Testarossa!" That''s all. The gripe about the Ferrari on MV was that folks were bitching it was a fake Ferrari over a Corvette chassis.

But lt's make it a trifecta of 80s action-drama openings with red sports cars.

Even though these are nothing special by today's standards, I still totally want one. They're actually affordable too, though that is beginning to change the last couple years. Super cool.
