I like storms too but rather the "dry storms". I really don't know how they are called in english. "dry storm" is a type of summer front storm. You can see it (and hear it too) from far distance because clouds which bring the storm (and rain) create narow streak (10 - 30km width). If you are at open space (rather stupid option) or inside high building you can make a good pictures. There are no rain until the storm is right above you so all lightings are good seeing.
