“Indescribable shapes both alive and otherwise were mixed in disgusting disarray, and close to every known thing were whole worlds of alien, unknown entities. It likewise seemed that all the known things entered into the composition of other unknown things and vice versa. Foremost among the living objects were inky, jellyfish monstrosities which flabbily quivered in harmony with the vibrations from the machine. They were present in loathsome profusion, and I saw to my horror that they overlapped; that they were semi-fluid and capable of passing through one another and through what we know as solids. These things were never still, but seemed ever floating about with some malignant purpose. Sometimes they appeared to devour one another, the attacker launching itself at its victim and instantaneously obliterating the latter from sight.”

UBBO-NIGGURATH...
Shub-Niggurath, the Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young. The Life Impulse. The Pancreator. Ubbo-Sathla, the Unbegotting Source. The Generating Chaos.
Along with Nyarlathotep and Daoloth, this is one of the three cosmic principles channeled by Malena Mordekai to reach true pandimensionality (something she haven't yet achieved and that maybe doesn't even exist).
Ubbo-Niggurath isn't a person nor a creature, it's a cosmic force. Many supposed deities are influenced by it and it embodies and informs all of them to some degree or level. To contemplate Ubbo-Niggurath without the protection or veil of those deities is to be directly flooded by a lifestream so strong that can kill or drive you mad.
Malena uses this energy to “procreate” and to “change”. It is the force behind the Transphinx Seals' Metamorphosis, and it is the hidden thing in the blood of all of the Gens Transphingis.
When Malena assumes Ubbo-Niggurath as a quantum state, she becomes something truly divine, but at the same time brutally limited. Malena becomes omnipotent, but loses all knowledge and all distinctive presence. She becomes the panverse's life force and as such she exists everywhere but without a specific manifestation, a blind force indeed.
Of course the First Transphinx almost always mantain a balance of all three cosmic principles so that she can have some autonomy and intelligence. Or, at least that's what she thinks she can do. Maybe she's deluded.
Shub-Niggurath is mentioned on H. P. Lovecraft's works. Ubbo-Sathla is a short story by Clark Ashton Smith. Both can be found on the internet with some ease.

For Ubbo-Sathla is the source and the end. Before the coming of Zhothaqquah or Yok-Zothoth or Kthulhut from the stars, Ubbo-Sathla dwelt in the steaming fens of the newmade Earth: a mass without head or members, spawning the grey, formless efts of the prime and the grisly prototypes of terrene life . . . And all earthly life, it is told, shall go back at last through the great circle of time to Ubbo-Sathla.
