As my latest 'sweeps month' (May, 2015) continues, I have the first of several rare pieces of 'fan art' that I had rendered in the past...
Once again, I was able to come across said 'fan art', while cleaning up my cluttered condo. This image goes back to 1994, just a few months following my move down to south Florida. I had created this work for Korean-born anime artist/writer Tommy Yune - whose talents include comic book versions of "Robotech" and other unique titles...
But in 1992, he created his own original anthropomorphic comic book entitled "Buster The Amazing Bear" - a futuristic tale (set in 2008... go figure!) about a genetically-altered bear cub, who (in extreme moments of stress) morphs in an muscular adult version of his ursine self...
(Many millenials probably don't recall this comic book, because it only ran for six issues - from 1992 to 1994 - long before many of you were even born!)
I just wished that I'd found this 'fan art' back in April, because that's when "Draft Day" in the NFL (National Football League) took place. I'd rendered 'Buster' (and his two human companions, 'Liz Toshima' and 'Bob Ramsey') around the time of pre-season football games, as the muscle-bound bruin ends up in the uniform and helmet of an apropos team... the Chicago Bears!

P.S. If some of you do recall "Buster...", why not let Tommy Yune know, as he has a Facebook wall...
