Blood Moon Ballad
Like embers; the stars
Like fire; the moon
Like water; your eyes
In evening, in June
We sit on our hill
A hill on a plain
Surrounded by mountains
We each know by name
Your presence is welcome
A comfortable still
An understood quiet
A sharing of will
We Crain our mouths up
And sing to the night
The evening sun bathes
Us both in her light
Our song is of longing
Both lonely and strong
About two young lovers
Who simply belong
Belong to each other
Belong to their fate
Of loving each other
Of being a mate
We orchestrate passion
Together we swoon
The wind whisks our fur
As we howl at the moon
And so our song ends
As every song does
And we sit there in silence
And all's as it was
Like embers; the stars
Like fire; the moon
Like water; your eyes
In evening, in June
Hope you like it.
