After many mistakes and revisions I ended up using my old high school graduation gown as a template (maroon). I had a difficult time getting the shoulder piece template to fit correctly, as well as sewing that part of the piece. The purple strips on the sleeves I glued because when i sewn them it wouldn't align straight. This gown was painstakingly sewn by hand.
