I've noticed this thing in my Russian art-group and forgot to do it here x)
She may have an absolutely normal appearance, when the hair, neck, joints, etc are looking completely ok (or pretty ok). But, when unstable, the grotesque-look is prevailing (fully or in some parts)

Unstable... I saw the art you posted earlier (the whole head-under-the-arms-oh-shit-runrunrun thing). Which raises a question: Does Heather transition between two distinct states or is it gradual? And can instability be prompted by changes in... Temper? Say, someone pisses her off and subtle changes begin to manifest - before she rips off the offender's head?

It's gradual and of course it's connected with her temper. The emotion provokes the changes, so she must be really desperated/in aggression/some kind of "evil satisfaction" to start morphing. And it's not necessary to morph 'till the end (this head-under-the-arms-oh-shit-runrunrun thing). She may calm down, and noone will be choked x)
She's not a psycho xD But a witch. She can control herself very well, so the stimul should be very strong or the emotions'd be accumulated, and only then she pisses off.
My main OC's are connected. The three girls, from the most infant and agressive to the adult and calm. Heather is on the middle.

The underlying idea is similar in its broad strokes to Hulk, but Heather's far more terrifying than Banner. I wager that's because, as you say, she might get angry - but she'll be perfectly aware of what she's doing. Ouch. I'm curious, do you have her story written down or linked to in an accessible place, or do I have to go digging through your gallery once more? I think I may have an idea as to her background, but it's always more interesting to hear it at the source.

The reason I was asking is because I'd love to commission you with an artwork for the fifth anniversary of my marriage, a sort of surprise for my wife. And after you posted Turkish Delight you made for Hioshiru, the plan is basically "Natalie or I-find-a-different-option-grumble-grumble" :)
