This was an entry for a contest on deviantart that ended up getting canceled. A few months later I found my original sketch, and wanted to finish and color the drawing anyway.

The contest was run by two artists whose current contact information I have lost. They had pet gerbils named Fu and Chu. She was working on a martial arts-themed manga with anthro characters, and wanted someone to design anthro versions of the gerbils to put in the comic.

Fu and Chu are twins. Chu (the girl) is the smart one, and Fu (the boy) is the not-so-smart one.

The species tag list on FA is kind of strange. I'm a little surprised that "gerbil" is an option.
