In this episode, the Wolf Queen bandies words with Estvan Silverbrush, and then a pair of twits, before she meets up again with the Master of Elfhame and Dame Eudora Chitterleigh.

Well, we see again that the Wolf Queen is a fur of both thoughtless action and thoughtful contemplation...
Interestingly, an almost jealous response to Dame Eudora's presence on the arm of the Master... if you did not know better you'd suspect the ballads were true... that these two, while each believing they do not understand the other (or openly refuse to, preferring to misunderstand), have proven time and time again that they know just how to stick the needle into the other very well on many levels as Estvan has said... no wonder they are a great source of entertainment for the old tod.
"I wouldn't want to join any club that would have me as a member," I snarled back at him. - a very telling and harsh statement from a fur who values personal honour.

Not familiar with the collected works of Groucho, then?
But it can be interpreted as 'knowing the clubs around here, they'd only want me for decoration and I am NOT putting up with that.'
And another reference to her little Oracle. I'm just waiting for 'I think I shall call her... Mini-me.'

I keep forgetting to include Estvan's insects when he appears in the Ballad.
Eudora, as I recall, is rather tall. And Westersloe, by all accounts, is rather not.
Interesting .. it seems that Brother Matthew was serving at the Cathedral late in Adler I's reign. I never did determine how old that badger monk was.
