About a 90 minute speedpaint with reference.
Had some time to kill tonight before I got to work on my next commission, so I decided to paint a hyena!
Also, yes, I know I signed it with my actual name, not my screen name~ I just felt all artsy and painterly after this one and felt I should take credit as myself.

Wonderful picture, and we share a surname! You captured the animal beautifully - just random hyena-related bit: sadly never saw a live hyena with my naked eye, but I a sister with field research where we caught them on camera traps (and indeed they stole one of our camera traps, dropping it about 30m away!).
