Well, since I posted a pic of my hubby, I guess it's only fair that I post one of me. As you can see, at the Renaissance Fair I tend to dress as a rogue rather than in standard lady's garb. I usually run the boffer arena (foam padded sword fighting) and have to be mobile and ready to smack around some overly rambunctious teenager or drunk adult. It's still bunches of fun.

My husband has a very effective sanding & painting process that works so well that we've had people think they are metal instead of wood. He has people that have bought them over the years and used them as their costume pieces because they didn't want to lug around live steel but still look good.

Unfortunately, we split from our old business partner and are focusing on the decorative metalwork. Since the split, we don't have access to the equipment we used to have. Our former business partner still does the wooden swords, but he's gone back to his old methods, which equals to shoddy workmanship (the reason we split to begin with).
My father-in-law does the wooden swords with pretty good quality and fairly basic designs, but not near as detailed as Paul used to do. If your interested, I can get some pics and post them to see if they'd like those instead. He usually charges between $10-25 per piece (depending on size).
