The Champion is another Star League era design, a heavy 'Mech with a decent speed and a fair weapons package. It hasn't aged very well, considering the low armor, the high heat curve (due to skimpy heat sinks), and the weapons that even some light 'Mechs can pack these days.
However, in the right hands, the Champion can still be a fearsome 'Mech in the field of battle.
