It wasn't awful. it was one of the better adventure games out there, and one of the best in it's generation. A traditional starfox game, no. But that doesn't make it bad.

I agree, it was a very good adventure game. Though... it wasen't even meant to be a starfox game, they only put starfox and starfox universe characters IN it to make it sell more... But i digress. Great art! :D

Let's face it, Miyamoto clearly went the easy route and just copy pasted Ocarina of Time over onto starfox. It felt awful and clunky and honestly was one of the worst purchases I had for the Gamecube. No game should start off with me carrying barrels, then playing a baby game of touch the right pot.

Actually it was the other way around. Dinosaur Planet had starfox pasted onto its original design. And there's nothing wrong with being similar to some of the better of the Zelda franchise. If mimicking were a crime, we'd still only be playing pong and street fighter.

But perhaps we'll agree to disagree on the experience.

And pretty much all Nintendo games are designed for younger audiences. I would call doing nothing but jumping on goombas and over pits as baby too... Yet it turned into a multi million dollar franchise. Go figure.

But there is a huge gap of quality that this game lacked, and it was apparent from the start that it was just thrown together. Mimicking isn't a crime, but reskinning a game should be.

If nothing else, it's a shame you never actually got to fight Scales. Really a big let down when he is taken away from the plot just before the final boss.
