Just a quick, halfassed thing I wanted to splash color on. She's missing an arm, unless she's applying lipstick, but then again, Aegea doesn't wear makeup so I guess I'm just lazy. I was more concerned with her body than anything else- though her hips aren't broad enough, either. Oh well. It's colored and I like the feel.

Awww man, you know the kind of stuff Gaugin did when he lived in Polynesia? Exotic figures with RICH colours and buttery brushstrokes... it's all right here. Her feet are incredible -- do you have any sources of ref you want to recommend, or do you just have lots of life drawing under your belt? :P

This piece actually has no references, and I'm sure a distinguished eye could see all the bullshitting I did with the anatomy. I don't draw from life NEARLY enough to even credit it in my art, but I have a very good visual memory, and I think that is what helps me out. I've never been even remotely compared to a professional artist, and though I'm sure the compliment is way beyond my means, I'm very flattered. u.u
