I've always found the movie to be incredibly sweet and comforting, with it's emphasis on families and communities rising above disagreements to face hardship.
That theme is also pretty much what being a "Furry" means to me, emotionally, so it earned a special place in my heart that way. The characters, the lessons, the music, and of course the stop-motion animation; it'll always be a favorite of mine.
