Talking of good causes, this was done as an emergency commission to help
cubishax. It started life as a double fullbody commission from Merlin, since she's been doing a lot of shiny stuff lately to help him out.

At some point I'd like to do a cutaway of the android architecture but I think that's going to need help from a specialist artist and there aren't many of those that I can find.

This raises (or raised, I suppose, when I first saw it on the Project Future site) SO many questions... o.o
Are they even errr... "equipped" for such things? If so, is it part of the whole aiming for realism thing? Are their frames even capable of deriving any enjoyment out of such things? ...What is the fox's name?

Yes, it's part of the goal for realism. It's something Daryil would have insisted on, and he's funded the project. Not that any of the staff would have objected.
I haven't figured out names for the foxes, though I was considering names which began with A, B, C etc.
It's also unclear if there were only the four of them, or whether Fendrick had more back at his base. If so they have most likely been rounded up and also brought into the clan. While it's not explicitly mentioned in the comic, they are clones (and it's interesting that Fendrick managed to create clones which are able to use magic while Jakob couldn't).
Fendrick tended to treat them as random goons whereas Daryil and co actually treat them as people, so joining Daryil's family (even as artificial 'cubi with none of the powers) is a good deal.
