this feels like a really bad joke... it's silly to say there are more than 2 genders. and it's in really bad taste to assume intersex people are a third sex, when they just a birth deformity (they're still either male or female, depending on wether they have xx pr xy chromosomes after all).

Have you thought about opening a dictionary? Most words in there have several definitions.

I retract part of my statement. Gender is based on sex in most European languages. There are plenty of languages outside of Europe that use things other than sex as gender, such as animacy. Also in European languages the gender assigned to many nouns is very superficial.
