I dont know what it is with me and dresses, but in my opinion the more frills the better!

Wow, that's absolutely beautiful, Kitea. I love the softness of the light used, the framing of the window, she looks a bit unsure (and that's so Ali in a pretty dress, hahaha, she'd be like -- how do you run in this, I'm afraid to ruin it...XD) I adore the tiny bit of sparkle on the clothing, the way the fabric has volume, and her hand buried in the the folds of it, and ahh, the beadwork/embroidery on the top is amazing.
The pearl headpiece is probably one of my favorite things about this image- and the way you repeat the pearls down the dress. The touch of her tail too - is just perfect, that curl of tawny brown against all that blue and lavender.
Thank you so, so much, this is absolutely lovely, and I'm so delighted I got it! I was so shocked to see it still there and available, I thought it was one of the prettiest, softest pieces, awww. I have a thing for gorgeous dresses, and your style and art is so beautiful; this is an absolutely gorgeous piece and I can't thank you enough for it!
(Aw, and thank you for the nice comments on Ali too... aw. <3 Means a lot, there's so many amazing characters around.)

One idea I'd like to suggest is this:
Remember that joke about her dress being made by silkworm laborers?, toiling all day to weave the fabrics?
Why not draw the exact same scenario, showing the silkworms as weavers, tailors, seamstresses?...etc. I'm sure it will be an interesting piece.

Wow this is gorgeous. I love the colors, and I LOVE the dress. I also love frills (one of my fave irl dresses is a rainbow-skirted wedding dress I found browsing online) and this one just takes the cake! Ps, if you have any tips or know any tutorials, I'd love to learn how to draw frills like this.
ps here's a couple links of the dress. https://img0.etsystatic.com/002/0/6.....41102_oa8g.jpg and http://i60.tinypic.com/2hqyw6g.jpg and http://www.dhresource.com/0x0s/f2-a.....ng-dresses.jpg (eep, sorry for the long link!)

oh gosh drawing frills is hard and i dont feel like I succeeded too well in this. I LOVE this image, but I know i still have a LOT to learn! I guess my suggestion would be try to focus on the layers. Get one layer of frills sketched/or row? Maybe row is a better word. Then, on a new photoshop layer, draw the next set of frills, and so on and so forth. that way, you can resize each layer to meet the needs of the next one, so you don't have to erase too much. I just used a dress as a reference and tried my best to concentrate on how the fabric flowed, haha. The sketching and lineart for this one took a while because when i thought i was getting a fold right, i'd take a closer look and realize it was all wrong -_-
