I also never got the appeal of the animatronics within this fandom. They're about as unappealing as it can get.

Not really. Dark Souls actually has lore written in the item descriptions. Most of the stuff you'll find on FNAF is either pure conjecture or stuff people made up. The original game was pretty straightforward as far as the narrative is concerned.

I feel like if it weren't for the descriptions in the items, I would not know as much about the game since it seems to be one of the only things to give a clue about the universe. FNAF probably relies on speculation and theories since not much is explained.

I was ready for Freddy... I always was!

The animatronics never scared me at all. I thought they were all kinda cute in a ugly-cute-ish way. Not even faceless Bonnie or Springtrap could get me quaking in my boots. It's not helping that the artists on this site makes them look innocent, cute, and at times interesting. But I guess that's what happens if you have anything vaguely animal like in something. x3

And lol to that quote. Reminds me of one of those rules that the pizzeria had established... "Don't poop on the floor." xD

I never saw 'em as scary either. They were just robots with the case of shark teeth. I seemed to like how artists depicted Freddy, Bonnie, and in some cases Foxy.

I find myself pretty much in your same possition, tho i just finished the first game but didn't play the second nor the 3rd one, what i like most like you is the lore and the fanart of the characters everywhere :).
