time has passed, and Chris' life starts to get dangerous
For Chris the last two weeks passed very fast, he learnt that werewolves, even in human form are much stronger than humans; he had his first hunt, in which he was very good at; he trusted the other members of the pack enough to tell them his secret, they were surprised that he was a wizard, but he wasn’t the strangest of the pack; he also met most of his comrades form the pack; they all, no matter how dominant or submissive they were all like a great family, but he was a bit frustrated since he hadn’t claimed Rose yet and he was worried about Thomas’s discharge from hospital.
Chris and Thomas didn’t had much time to talk in the next morning at the police station, although Thomas and other officers as well noticed that he was different in the past weeks, because they were called by a man who found his boss corpse next to the doors of the shop that he worked.
The rage ablaze on Chris’s chest when he saw who the victim was: Sergei, a member of the pack whose first son was born three days before. When one of his colleagues asked the employee about Sergei, it was Chris who answered: “his name is Sergei Rasputin, 32 years old, his wife (he almost said “mate” since both of them were werewolves) gave birth to their first child (he wanted to say “pup”) three days ago, he had no enemies but someone was threatening his life for a few months, and I knew him, he was an old friend of my girlfriend.”
The captain asked him: “so, you weren’t very close, but do you know if the shop has surveillance cameras?” Chris replied: “yes, I helped him installing them last week. And I found a few things that may help us to solve this crime: a strange shoeprint on the parking lot, a blond hair on him, which isn’t his since his hair is red, and other things as well, so let’s see what the cameras recorded.” At this point Thomas was freighted pale. Chris guessed that he knew the hunter who did that to the poor Sergei, his wolf wanted to strangle Thomas, but Chris managed to calm the beast down, he was planning to turn Thomas into a werewolf, and by doing this Thomas may learn how it is like being a wolf, should he want too, Thomas was never one to hurt others, he had a hunch he would jump at the opportunity to leave, he was right about it.
After one more day of work Thomas went to the hunters headquarter to inform to the leader the bad news. When he arrived he saw the leader giving the honors to Sergei’s killer but Thomas interrupted them: “I don’t want to be the Killjoy, but I have bad news: Joseph you got caught, the beast’s (Thomas made a face, he hated treat werewolves like that and to try to hinder the investigations) shop had ne surveillance cameras, my colleagues at the department has five different angles of you killing the beast, your shoeprints and DNA, you left a single hair on the corpse…” the leader stopped Thomas: “we will punish you two very soon, but now we have more urgent problems to solve: it seems like the beasts have one more newbie, a blue-eyed white furred and newbie. And he seems to be a high ranked wolf.”
Although the “bad news” about the new wolf, Thomas was worried about the punishment: 100 punches on the stomach with knuckles. This only increased Thomas’s hate about his fellow hunters which didn’t respected him or none else, hunters usually just trust in themselves and once you fail, it is very difficult to redeem yourself.
Thomas never wanted or liked to be a hunter for many motives: he is hunter just because his parents were hunters and a hunter’s child must be a hunter too, by their twisted rules, he hated the physical and psychological abuse that was done on the recruits, the brainwash-like speeches that the older hunters do in many occasions, the brutal punishments that they get for the simplest mistake that they have done, and the animosity and antagonism that all the hunters have for each other.
After the punishment Thomas saw the images of the mysterious white wolf and he thought that he would know who he was but he soon denied that, but a part of him started to remember how different Chris was on that day and the way how he knew the dead werewolf.
Chris went to Romulus' house after his work and told to his alpha about Sergei's murder, when Romulus heard that he was so angry that he changed to his wolf form: a malevolent green-eyed wolf with reddish fur (on the same shade of the fur of a fox). Chris backed off after he saw his alpha so enraged, that only Rose was able to calm her father down.
Rose and Chris kissed each other after that, this helped Chris to control his fear of Romulus's rage. And they summoned the pack to give the bad news to the others.
the special meeting was at Chris's manor, which received over 27 protective spells in order to protect the pack, the pack was so sad about Sergei's death that it took two hours to the pack stopped the mourning, the Chris told them something that he planned: "Today a noticed that Thomas and maybe other hunters too don't like to do that so I have a plan: capture the hunters that want to stop being hunters or don't want to and change them into werewolves so we might be able to make the pack grow, we learn thing about the hunters and the may be free of the fate of being a hunter!"
The pack was surprised with this information, some of them didn't believe of wanted to believe on this. But Romulus decided that this question would be discussed later.

I read it and I realized that there would actually be 3 sides to this human vs werewolf conflict. All werewolves are bad, all humans are bad, and the most reasonable out of the three: Both should be held to the same laws and have the same rights. To assert either of the first two is to deny human rights since both are technically human. Maybe if there was some sort of mass conflict, a third group could form, only fighting to protect others and sending spies to the other two groups. It would be quite interesting.
Imagine if there was a human spy in the group of hunters sabotaging their efforts and/or giving them bad leads. Eventually they might get so suspicious that they force them into a DNA test or something, but get typical human results. I wonder how they'd react to betrayal. Excommunication, threats, murder?
