Aside from the extreme jiggliness, slimes possess a variety of traits and elemental powers based on their color.

Some green slimes, for instance, can produce poison, red ones live in volcanic areas and have an increased resistance to fire and heat, yellow ones can emit powerful electrical shocks and so on. Old legends and unreliable eyewitness reports tell of an unusual type of black slime that resides in the void between dimensions and can harness powerful abyssal magic, but no substantial proof of the existence of such a creature exists to this day. Blue slimes are the most common type and don´t have any special properties, aside from the ability to emit adorable cooing sounds and emanate a fresh, pleasant scent.

The colorful substances harvested from the slimes are popular alchemic ingredients with countless applications, and slimebreeding has thus become a lucrative enterprise - regardless of the risk of slimeification breeders face every day.

Also, it should be noted that both slimes and slimified creatures consist entirely of a coagulated gelatinous membrane and a thick liquid, thus lacking any organs and even a brain, wich makes the fact that they are actually capable of displaying any sort of behaviour all the more mysterious. Moreover, slimified humans seem to retain a small bit of their former personalities and most basic human emotions such as joy or sadness, wich they tend to display in the cutest ways...
