Yes, this is very similar to Rebecca Sugar's style! I used to use a barely sensitive brush like this for sketching before this (switched to a pencil brush), but doodling like this is great when trying to warm up since you worry less about the details and getting things right. Adding the grey/shading helps make it less boring to me too.
