That... is... a horrible thing to hear... a pet being put down is a horrible thing to go through...
I've not had such a thing done with any of our pets since my dog Petey...
We were born on the same year, month, and week... he was like my twin brother...
Normally someone dies from old age, injury, poison, or illness...
Its more horrible and painful when you turn out to be the killer, and its hard to live with...
I suppose that's why no other animal, out of dogs, cats, ferrets, and so forth we let live their lives out... even if it meant they lived a life in which they experienced pain alongside what joy they would have...
