Hmm, I remember this story from quite a while ago. I haven't read the original version in a while, but I think I remember it well enough, since it was a particular favourite of mine. This version seems to spell out the whole business of the wish and the rules more clearly, but I got it the first time, so I think I still prefer the original. This does elaborate on the stoat's fate more explicitly, which was more vague and inferred in the original, so that's a nice addition.
I'm curious as to what prompted you to return to this story after such a long time. I also look forward to seeing more stories from you, I like your style.

As for why I revisited it, it wasn't so much a conscious decision, but after I removed it from my original account I re-read it before re-uploading and there were some mistakes I wanted to fix. But as I started 'fixing' it, I decided to re-localize it and then found more and more that I wanted to update now with more experience behind me. Hence the escalating changes as I worked through each part.
More stories to come, just need to actually finish one instead of the intros/almost dones that I've got on the computer :)
