I have finally done it *_* I have finally drawn my Devlin Baby correctly! It took me
forever to do him justice with so many failed attempts-but I have doooone iiiit!
Enough of that though~
Anyways; this is my OC: Devlin. He is very similar to my OC: Tsung in the
means of what he is. Both being "demons" (going by one stream of stories with them in it,
the first made with them in it to be exact) with great power whom do end up on the "good"
side. However unlike Tsung, Devlin walks on the line between "good and evil" (at least so it
appears to be).
Devlin is a very sophisticated man for what it is worth; he is aloof, intelligent, sarcastic, and powerful.
He loves to watch how people reacts to situations due to the fact he enjoys psychology so much and manipulates
others a lot for it is not just a pass time but a way of life in a way for him.
In one realm he is a mixed breed of demon, but he has only let it be known what half of him is-which is an
Incubus (his mother was a succubus) and keeps his father's blood origin hidden. His family/life history is assumed
to be why he puts on a facade often in front of people to keep more of himself hidden (that being a more playful and
"Cheshire" appearance even though he does have those personality traits at times-he overly shows it at times to
hide his more true nature).
Like all my other OCs he has multiple forms and he shows up in many of my stories thus giving him of course many
stories~. That said, here is the main one for Devlin.
Story Summery
So long ago, the heavens and hells made a pact with each other to not wage a war...cease all the fighting and thus it kept the humans safe for some time. However over time, things began to change. Amongst the heavens that is. One of the original creators was turning chaotic, and his greatest worshiper, and angel, was following right behind. The creator despised the set up of the world and wanted it entirely eradicated and to start a new...the other creators disagreed. The angel, wanted something similar and understood his ways-he wanted a supreme dictatorship and thus to be all powerful themselves-seeing angels as the perfect creation.
The angel wanted to slyly break the pact and slaughter all of demon kind and then do the same to the humans-only keeping a few to be slaves and weak worshipers. This...did not sit well with everyone. Keeping under the veil of being an all powerful and good angel, most simply took him upon his word when they were being ordered to kill others and steal relics. Not all were fooled though, Devlin saw it from the start. Questioning everything and not trusting him; he wasn't the only one-for Kratos knew something was wrong and soon Elucifer as well. Devlin, though, was quickly being seen as a rebel-someone going "against Heaven and against God" which wasn't true. But the angel who was now corrupted was making it seem that way quickly and trying to turn everyone against him and it was working.
However, later on Kratos confronts him in secret and asks him for help-as he can only trust him with this task...the task being to destroy heaven as it is. He knew it was corrupted and he told him it will spread quickly-and if it isn't stopped everything and everyone will be destroyed. Devil found it heavy and felt if anything-he'd either die by passively letting this angel kill him, being sent to eternal damnation by him, or he could go out fighting by doing this task-he chose the last. His journey was rather long-it took a lot of work...met a few people (Tsung was one, he has basically the same task and story just the demon version) whom helped him along the way. He(mainly devlin but tsung and the others helped too) killed many of the angels and other corrupted beings. One of which was an angel he once saw as a friend...
He had become a mutated and deformed beast of corruption, when he slaughtered him (beheaded him) Devlin turned to another angel (a female) whom kept defending him and now demanded he hear again "Tell me again...how 'pure' your 'brother' is..." seeing the monster he had become she now believed Devlin (she the entire time up til now was hunting him like other angels and bit by bit they were seeing he was right all along).
Anyways; he manages to get up to the one who started it all...and realizes he cannot kill him. He is far to strong at this point and would die trying for nothing. The angel knew it as well and was just smugly talking basically but does offer Devlin a place along his side....instead of killing him.
Devlin looks away, saying basically he didn't care for that option and that he knew he could not defeat him alone; the Angel then wonders if he plans to use the other angels against him which Devlin said no-as they would all die as well. He then says, "No, those who will face you...do not stand by anyone that I know of." he then does the unthinkable and breaks the seals of hell. Everyone is in utter shock and looks at him as if he is insane; now holding the last seal to Hell he begins breaking it and goes on stating, "If you wish to wage war-then so be it." and then it shatters. The Angel hears hell opening and goes to watch it; Devlin takes this oppurtunity to leave and steals important items in the process.
Later on he is watching hell open and the demons spread across the world; the previous female angel comes near him and asks what he has done and he looks over saying "I gave everyone a fighting chance.." She understands what he meant and nods looking back to everything. A bit later he then comes at a cross roads between some demons and they surprisingly do not attack him; they give him instead, subtle gestures of peace between the two of them and leave going their seperate ways. Devlin goes to hell after to avoid the few remaining angels after him and finds a safe haven there and soon is taken under Elucifer's wing. By the point he was he had become a half demon of asorts and thus sealed his 'title and form' as the true Dark Angel-as he had kept his angelic grace and being but gained the powers and somewhat looks of a demon as well (the horns and claws and eyes =3 and wing look too).
Tsung's story is basically the same as Devlin but from a different perspective. As he was a demon to start (a rare race of such) and was picked out by Elucifer and Kratos. They recognized his soul which was surprisingly pure and some even surprising that he had (some demons have no soul). He was wrongfully accused of things he did not do which got him sent into a punishment in hell where he was locked for awhile before being saved by Kratos himself. When freed he showed up before a council he never seen before and they explain to him that the council he came across before which damned him had been infected with corruption (despite being demons they are supposed to have clear minds with no agendas which wasnt true this time).
He was offered the same deal as Devlin and he took it and began working in the hells much like Devlin was doing in the heavens. They crossed paths a few times but finally teamed up and began helping each other up until the very end. This all gave Tsung a unique being much like Devlin-as he became a demon graced by the heavens/angels which made him only stronger much like Devlin and unique abilities.
