Quickly look at it and found this source where one stats:
"The game's site refers to Ori as male in one place, but I got word from the devs that Ori's gender was deliberately left ambiguous - and this same dev refers to Ori as a she. So hell if I know."
So I guess we just shouldn't think about it, unless you can show me those lines of the narrator, because if that is true how can I as a player think he is male even if I have read all the dialogue? (And no one gives an answer when I ask this)

Yeah I just wiki-ed it and from what forums, wiki, and Google says is that Ori is in fact "un-gendered" and was made, from the devs, purposely like that for people to imagine Ori as whatever gender the player pleases Ori to be. So technically gender-fluid to the eyes of others.
