Teddy Ruxpin Friendship Chocolate Chip Cookies
Preparation time: 5 minute     Baking time: 12 minutes     Yield: 27 – 4 inch cookies

“The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin” animated series episodes where released on VHS tapes in the 80’s and some of the episodes had video extras featuring a live action Teddy Ruxpin (a fursuit actor). In January 1987 the episode “Guests Of The Grunges” was released with a video extra of Teddy Ruxpin discussing food and friendship; including this cookie recipe. The recipe card was included in the VHS tape box.

Ingredients
1-12 sticks butter (169.5g)              2 Cups sifted Flour (250g)
1 Cup brown sugar packed (220g)     1 Teaspoon soda (Such as coke) (baking soda)
1/2 Cup white sugar (100g)             1/2 Teaspoon salt
1 Egg
1-1/2 Teaspoon vanilla                    1 - 12 Oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

In a bowl, mix the butter until creamy.
Slowly add the sugars. Keep mixing until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla.
Mix well.

Sift all the dry things together in separate bowl.
Slowly mix into wet. Mix well.
Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop mixture from a teaspoon on a greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
Cook before removing from cookie sheet.

Note: I use an old fashion ice cream scoop (1-3/4 inch diameter) to measure out the cookie dough (43g). This spreads to a 4 inch cookie during baking. This is twice the size the recipe call for.
