Alright, for starters, BATTLESUITS-exo-armor, like the Space Marine's power armor-aren't all uber-godly and shit like gundams,so don't even start me on that. Secondly, whatever you wanna call it, they'e the closest things to goodguys in the entire 40k universe. Being a Tau player, I can tell you that, unlike SPEHS MUHREENS, it's an army that actually rewards tactical planning instead of just charging straight in without a second thought.
Why should we even care if Tau is weaboo or not? They are cool. They are interesting. They have their own, quite distinct style (which does not look like any anime). Besides, using that logic you can call any faction weaboo - the Imperium and the Orks have giant robots too, for instance. So better don't even try it, and end this foolish argument now. It is getting heretical. >:[
yes, it definately is XP in my army, Orpheus and a few of his followers quickly rose in the ranks after their planet was discovered by the Tau and saved from an incoming tyranid splinter fleet. The Tau have allowed Orpheus to join as an honorary member, not bound to a single cast, for his actions, and the Tau also help keep the location of their homeworld hidden from the Imperium
Haha yes. I could guess what the Imps would've done had they found the planet. Still, a Tyranid splinter fleet vs a Tau expeditionary fleet somehow doesn't seem to be good. Especially the fact that once they are stuck in, the Tau are mucked. Still, I'm curious on how the Greater Good prevailed.
From my experience, not even my friend's Mighty 12000pts Khorne army could withstand the tide of a 12000pts Tyranid army. Dominatrix + Hive Mind Brood = Pinned Berzerkers xD And the Mycetic Assault Storm rendered his Warhound, 2 Defilers, 2 Land Raiders, and a score of Predators as well as Obliterators to bloody pulp(or metallic debris) with 20 'Fexes. Also the Endless Swarm with it's neverending tide of Gaunts and Hormagaunts are fun(they give me a 4+ Cover Save xD).

Ahh...after the main threats have been eliminated, any spores that have made it planetside anywhere near the Nal'da sept (centered around the anthrope (furry) homeworld) are purged by flamer-equipped XV89s. Thankfully, most bioships were destroyed in space and in orbit, with many thanks to the Tau's expertise with plasma and railgun technologies.
Well, according to the Tau Fleet lists, most Tau ships are poorly armed compared to Imperial ships. The railgun batteries are weak individually, Firepower 2-4 per arc in game terms. Though strength in Tau is the ability to concentrate their firepower(railguns, ion cannons, and drone AI missles) into the forward arc, more often than not, devastating a single enemy target. But individually in each arc, the weapons are weak. It would mean that vs Tyranid bioships, the Tau will be overwhelmed, and their low, low maneuverability(15cm fastest Tau Battleship, Imperials move at 25cm at fastest battleship) wouldn't help either.
Still, I can't stop you from saying that the expeditionary fleet carried out an all out attack, singling on the lone Hive Ship of the splinter fleet, thus severing the link to the Hive Mind, and making the 'Nids disorganized. Might help your story sound a little more convincing.

well, it wasn't an expeditionary fleet; Commander Shadowsun had known about saide splinter flee and was en route to cut it off as you mentioned when she came across the aforementioned homeworld. THough lower-tech, they had battleships comparable to earlier Imperium ones, and aided in halting the Tyranids before they even entered the system
