So...I made this last week but...well, I was (and still am) dissatisfied with the lighting so I laid it on my desk while I obsessed over beating Megaman 9 for the remainder of the week. I finally beat the game lastnight (srsly, who ever designed every Megaman level from 9 to 1 is a fucking asshole.) and I saw this thing again and decided to scan it. The End.

the lightings looking pretty good here. a little color theory to help you take it to the next level, the color of the shadows is the opposite of the color of the light, orange light blue shadows, yellow light purple shadows, this is a modifier to whatever the local color is. you could push the values a bit more but a change of color should be enough. this is a fun piece and i hope that helps. keep up the good work.
markers can be real tough to mix colors, you may want to pick up a set of cheep watercolors to play around with. then you can take a scrap peice of paper and see how the colors mix first hand. i always recomend that people play around with watercolors but the paper for it can get quite expensive.
