I'm beginning to see that, but what made it conflicting at first was that I never played those games by my moral standards (they both have M-ratings). I tried to make my world like those old-fashioned cartoons. But nobody appreciates those anymore; people want realism. And reality is hard to deal with sometimes.
Yeah. I was talking to 
zephyrhero one day and he said that you base your stories from your inspirations of those cartoons. Stories and cartoons are different you know and you should never write your stories like they are those old cartoons. As for realism, there are fictions that are based on realism than as carbon copies of realism. My version of Earth for example is based on realism than as carbon copies of it where I use technological, scientific, and political elements in my stories because they are both fun and meaningful that way. But that is just me.
