You barely made it through this hell. That beast burned down most of the forest you were hiding in. It kept roaring and thrashing through the thick growth; ripping out burning trees almost like a kid would rip a hand full of grass from a meadow. Your legs were tired as you reached a clearing and your lungs burned from breathing in smoke and hot air. You turned around to see the back of this massive creature. Its muscular hindlegs that kept on stomping the ground and its gigantic tail that plowed through the forest and leveled big chunks of it with each swipe. The other side of the dragon worked on the same task, smashing the foliage with claws and spitting massive streams of fire on it... just to find you. “Not this time...” You murmur, having trouble to form simple sentences without coughing and gasping for air. It searched the wrong part of the forest for you, it will never find you. You turned your back to the creature and continued with your escape in a slower, less exhausting pace. You moved about half a mile before you heard it. Felt it. A bone shattering roar that left the air around you vibrating and stopped you in your tracks. You were too shocked to turn around right away. Paralyzed, like a stupid animal facing a great danger. You just listened. The earth started shaking slightly as a series of thundering crashes emitted from behind you. You heard trees breaking. Giving away under the weight of that beast like dry twigs under your boots. Finally you brought up the courage to turn around and immediately wished you hadn't.

This is just so awesome! Some time ago I ended up being the lucky second pick for a speedpaint commission by Centradragon and I'm totally happy with how this turned out. The whole mood of the picture is just fantastic and intimidating with all the fire and smoke.
I would not want to see this big fellow moving towards me.

alleine schon sein Auftreten ist sehr angst einflößend, dass man sofort weglaufen möchte wenn so eine große Kreatur durch den Wald stampft, ich würde vor Angst stehen bleiben und könnte keinen einzigen Muskel mehr bewegen wenn sowas gewaltiges auf einen zukommt :)

Großartiges Bild, gerade auch als Speedpaint. In meiner Welt sind Drachen ja nicht so die Doombringer, aber ich mag solche Bilder trotzdem.

Not every dragon has to be a doombringer. But well... the particular one is. Though doombringer might actually a little exaggeration. He's not a dumb malevolent being, who lives for death and destruction. But nonetheless he's an arrogant asshole.
