I double-checked it now, and either I was blind last time, or I simply didn't find the picture you linked here ColeBurd.

Anyway, back then I sent a message to Leithster and asked if I could use the picture for my D&D character, and back then she said that it's fine. I don't know if she changed her mind about this or such, I don't really want to be branded an art thief...

Hey just to jump in, its totally awesome that Leith gave you permission to use the design, but could you ask the artist to credit her for the design at least? That way it doesn't look like your stealing. And maybe you could even change a few aspects about the design that way there is less of a reason for anyone to come after you C:

First thing's first: I want to let you know I'm not mad or upset. I was surprised at first, but after reading the comments I do vaguely recall discussing using my character as an inspiration for your own a long time ago. Was it over DeviantArt? I can't quite remember and was hoping maybe you could jog my memory a bit. Do you have a link or a screenshot you could possibly send me?

As for this picture, I'm really flattered that you like my character so much that you used her as an inspiration, buuuut yours looks a bit too similar. And to be frank, by that I mean they look almost exactly the same. I'm having a hard time viewing this commission as anything else but my character. I know it wasn't your intention, but this feels like a drawing of my Chels.

Now, I feel bad about this whole thing because I believe you didn't intend to copy my character. I'd like to make an offer for you though, if you'd like!
Is there any way you would consider letting me accept this particular commission as a picture of my Chels (if the artist is okay with that idea as well)? I understand that you paid for it and to pay you back I would be more than happy to work with you to design a character that is your very own! I can do my best to create a D&D character that is inspired by Chels's design, while still being different enough that they would be unique to you.

Yeah, we talked over Deviantart. But I think that I've searched and found your drawing together with my Dungeon Master back then. Given that I have almost no PMs in my own account's inbox, I am pretty sure that my DM and I wrote to you from his account. It would fit my memory too, given that I recall him telling me that you said that I may use it. I will try to get in touch with him again to get you a screenshot, but to be fair... I haven't talked to him in two years after having had a little fight with him...

Regarding the picture, I will say it bluntly: I am fine with whatever terms you want. If you want to see this pic as a pic for Chels, go ahead. If you want it removed, go ahead. If you want me to delete the picture I've saved and stop playing the character, go ahead.
