Old news, but I've been so busy being holed up in my Craft Dungeon™ working on suits that I've barely been online to post anything XD
Without further ado, meet Daga! I was asked for a twin sister for Dagmar, and I was so flattered that I couldn't resist :3
Yes, we mix people up a lot. The key is that Daga has purple eyes, while Dagmar has blue ones!
Please note:
Though Daga's performer is male-bodied, please show her the same respect you would show any cisfemale and ask before touching. Cosplay is never consent!

I'm so glad you brought this up. There are a lot of people out there who don't show the necessary respect to suiters, especially people who are suiting as a different gender than their own. Have you ever had trouble with that?

Daga has it pretty bad. It is ridiculous how many people expect that the suit is for their enjoyment and that she should be grateful for the attention, and that not wanting to be touched means she's some kind of meaniepants selfish suiter that isn't behaving properly. It's unreal. She has a few "don't touch!" badges but a lot of people either ignore them or mistake them for jokes. I really wish there was some kind of accepted standard symbol conventions would adopt and freely distribute to whoever needs it, it should be common sense that fursuiters are not mascots at a children's event and you need to ask first, but that's expecting too much I suppose.
I used to as well, but these days I'm usually carrying a GoPro camera which probably scares people off. I actually got the camera exactly for this reason, because convention security is generally not willing to take action and I've come to accept I'm on my own.

http://dogspired.com/color-coded-sy.....s-and-leashes/ Something like this may be kinda an idea?
I remember a quote from one of Uncle Kage's 1st Furry Convention panels: "it is generally considered bad form to touch a fursuiter on the chest, because you don't know who might be inside the suit."
Going off of what FuziBuni said, some of the brony conventions have adopted red/yellow/green badges to signify whether someone wants to be interacted with. Maybe furry conventions could adopt the same thing for fursuiters?

Someone had a really neat system where it was like "no hugs" in red, "ask hugs" in yellow and "yes hugs" in green. I thought it was a really nifty idea, I hope it catches on properly and constaff starts taking this sort of thing more seriously (right now it's a lot of "oh... well, they only did it once..." and then not marking the offender's badge so unlimited chances to get creepy with people).
Maybe I should start giving these things out as part of what comes with a fursuit when you buy one from me...!
