One benefit (or drawback depending on how you look at it) of maintaining my adult mentality as a cub is that parents of other cubs trust me to be in charge of things if they have to step out for a few minutes. Especially if I'm 4 or 5. I'm uncomfortable with more the 15 minutes of being alone without adults around, but if they need to pop over to the corner store to get some milk (or cookies. especially cookies) I don't mind.
It can get interesting with kids with "special abilities" however. Shido, for instance, is a speedster. So, when her mom asked me to keep an eye on things while she went to pick up a few things for dinner, she left me with one simple instrucion. "No running in the house!" Fortunately speedsters generally aren't that strong. As long as I didn't let her build up a head of steam, there was no way she was gonna break my grip on the harness and maybe I could finish this chapter in my book... Just hope she doesn't wear a hole in the floor boards.

That's my goal. For every picture I draw to be the best picture I've ever drawn. :p it's why I don't fuss too much (ok, maybe I fuss a little) about fixing every minor little detail on things, I'd rather catalog the mistakes and learn from them and incorporate the correction into my next piece. If I fiddled with every little thing on a pic, I would be simply patching over a mistake and not doing it properly the next time. There's no growth in that.
