Various small things that I have been working on the last two weeks or so for personal challenge and much needed practice. Feeling a lot more confident now about background work because of that =D Bit of info about the pieces:

Random waterfall
Close up of Shane Poe’s eye from various angles
Random cell shaded snail for the heck of it xD
Red bamboo that appears at the beginning of the revised version of the WM comic
Digitally painted fire
Pink viney pitcher plants that appear in the beginning of the revised version of the WM comic
Yellow canary (not including the cherry tree maybe?) That hopefully will appear in the revised comic
Random fire explosion thing
Random summer forest overview with some swans

Do you think I have improved with backgrounds? =) Lots of mistakes, but over all very proud of my self with these little works. I did NOT use any custom brushes anywhere except the clouds behidn the Canary and the forest sky. Everything else was painted by hand.

I used some minor references to paint the waterfall, bamboo, cherry tree and fire explosion but I didn't have internet access for others so they came out of my own memory of how I remember things =).
