It's considered one of the best tactics games ever made. I haven't played it, though, and from what I've seen it's mostly about grinding on the same mission for eternity. And obsessing over demons that look like ten year olds trying to stick it in each other.

I'm sure it's very fun for certain sorts. I'd probably like it well enough, really... but I just can't get that interested in it. I tried to play one of its sequels, though, and hated that.

The game in itself is for people who are obssessed with grinds. I would say that the pedophilia thing is satirical seeing as all 3 games have been satirical. The game in itself is very comical if not loaded in dark humor. But the game is completely about grinding to the extremes, and makes world of warcraft look like counter strike in terms of repetitive menial tasks.

All Nippon-Ichi games refer to that aspect consider the level range is from 1-9999 and the damage ranges from 1-approx. 30,000,000,000

Disgaea is always over the top and it's usually New game+ when you start grinding yourself retarded. In any case if you can get over the extreme level implication and the fact that it is a TRPG, it's really enjoyable. The comedy in itself revolves on the reversal of what you normally come to expect out of JRPGs in general, as well as the sheer amounts of slapstick humor.

Ya, It sounds like a good game, but Trpg's really aren't my thing. nothing wrong with them, I just don't have fun playing them.
