This is still probably to date one of my most significant and successful compositions. It is the only one of my compositions to have been performed multiple times AND on both coasts by an orchestra! This is probably also the best recording/performance out of all of them.

This piece is based on the indigenous philosophy that we are all one with the Creator and that therefore the creator is among us in everything around us, in many forms, all diverse but the same. The opening line played by the celli and basses is basically the theme of the creator and everything after that resembles it in some form, even if very remotely, so every reincarnation of that opening line (whether the listener recognizes or not) is another creature or plant.
Instrumentation:
2 Flutes (Fl 2 int. Piccolo)
2 Oboes
2 Clarinets (Cl 2 int. Bass Clarinet)
2 Bassoons
4 French Horns
3 Trumpets
2 Trombones
1 Bass Trombone
1 Tuba
Timpani
Percussion: Two tom toms, Maracas, Wood Block, Triangle, Suspended Cymbal, Crash Cymbals, Bass Drum, Tam Tam, Guiro
Keyboard Percussion: Vibraphone, Xylophone, Crotales, Bells
Harp
Strings:
Violin I
Violin II
Viola
Cello
Contrabass

Thank you for sharing this; it's utterly gorgeous, it's so cinematic...I feel like it should be the opening of a truly epic and classic movie. I really enjoyed the second part especially, and I felt like I could pick out some of the indigenous musical motifs in it. You are truly talented as a composer as well as a performer.
It must be quite the experience to have a real orchestra play your piece. Great piece of music here. :) Do you have to write notes for each particular instrument, or do you have a general track and then each orchestra interprets that to their own unique instrumentation?
