Four Months, it felt like forever but it was a lot less painful than the twins had been. And of course she had calmed herself down, but the world felt heavy as always. Like it was closing in around her like a box. Sitting on the roof probably wasn’t the safest idea, but with Rentaro next to her, it was all the same safe. Without having Tle presence on her, Quelt was thoughtful and fearful of nearly everything and she didn’t know why. Why did she feel so useless from time to time, even with her fathers death and everything “seemed” normal. It was a lot of pressure but she had to stay calm for the baby’s sake.
The Neighborhoods silence was broken slightly besides for the chirping crickets as a short woman stood at the front of the house looking at the roof, watching Rentaro and Quelt. Giving a soft smile Hariken waved at them, breaking Quelt’s earlier thoughts. “Don’t suppose you’re open for a walk you two?” she asked quietly. As Rentaro held onto Quelt before helping her down the roof. Ren could probably see them through the window, but they didn’t think any of them cared.
“I don’t mind really, have nothing else to do.” Quelt answered with a shrug. As the president gave a smirk, gesturing for them to start walking where they headed out on a road into the city. Hariken would look around for a moment as Rentaro only just trailed behind the girls.
“You have a nice home.” Quelt lowered her eyes.
“Yeah, I used to think that too.” The president looked at Quelt and gave a small sigh, keeping her hands in her pockets.
“It’s still nice, something you helped create isn’t it? I’d think you would have more pride in it.” the buildings were going through reconstruction though that was for sure. Quelt blinked for a moment and shook her head with a mild laugh.
“Well, it’s definitely something I envisioned that would be mine, but somehow, I feel myself being dragged down by the memories of my parents now that the both of them are gone.” The girl brushed her hands over her arms. She was still too naive and didn’t know much for her age in the first place. She really didn’t GO anywhere.
“Oh pffftt, you pay way too much attention to the past and the people who were, instead of the people who are now. And you, what do you want?” Hariken said pulling her hands out of her pockets and pulling them behind her head. “It’s important to know what you want, rather than laying around waiting for someone to take care of you. It seems to me you rely on Ren a lot, and have you thought of how much pressure that puts on him?” her blue eyes wandered to the girl. Quelt blinked for a moment.
“You sound just like my therapist.” She snorted as Hariken laughed patting the girl on her back. Quelt yelped a bit out of surprised.
“I don’t know you well, but I’d like to know you, and even more so, maybe you should get more involved in the community. After your kids born why don’t you take up your husbands mayor duties again live a little, do something. Stop worrying about the next day or the last, worry about yourself and what makes you happy. Built something YOU would be proud of. Not everyone else but yourself. Why don’t you go on a few expedition and create some more cities, after all this world has a lot to explore tons more to be found.” The president poked her in the side making Quelt wiggle a bit. Hariken smiled, “Ohhoho, ticklish there are you.” she continued to poke Quelt until she was laughing.
“Hey stop it. “ The girl said trying to push Hariken’s fingers away until they stopped at the clock tower near the middle of town. Rentaro pet both of the girls on the head. Quelt looked up at her son and gave a smile. “Maybe we should go and explore, besides I think I need to learn how to use scribe more, I’ve been getting rusty in fighting.” she poked Roe’s stomach making him let out a fake little ‘oof’.

Since ancient times, towns and cities would find ways to protect themselves. They would breed all the same, and make all the same, as much as they could to keep things pure. When one thing was corrupted so much, when the depression couldn’t help but to take over. Blood was all that they could see in the least of it. And then there was the queen, who long since wanted to give up her throne when it was given to her. Upon being given the chance, she met somewhat of a half sibling she would only be so entwined to, and thankful for if anything at all. That was how the queen was, and even with so much pain to be recovering from, it was how it would always be.
I moved through the crowd as soon as I was presented with the furious girl. She held her hands behind her as Tor held her head down for a few moments. I growled slightly at their handling as they backed off letting her sit there on her knee’s as she glared at me.
“Tell me it isn’t true, tell me you, you and Arrow aren’t my half sisters.” She looked desperately for an answer. It was obvious, and she had the same look in her eyes as I had before. I could tell, there was no stopping it after all. This woman was the father of Arrows child, as odd as it sounded. The one thing that could not compare us to each other was the time she spent with father more than I had.
“It’s true, we are.” She gave a gasp before crying placing her hands over her eyes. “And what are you going to do about it?”
“What am I supposed to do.” I crouched down and placed my hands over her shoulders.
“We are walkers Salvant. No matter what is thrown at us, most of the time we get through it. I don’t care what mother you are from, or what father was to you. The fact is you made a mistake and everyone makes them. Now go and see what you have to say, It’s been two years. Hajime will escort you, simply because I am no longer in the need of such things. And, the relationship between us isn’t very well off right now. Corruption is building Salvant and this time I can’t be the one to save everyone.” I said, as she looked up at me. Next thing I knew, she was gone.

‘ Dear Dakota,
It has me to regret to say that Ivy Walker is currently being chased down by not only our military but the military of two other countries as well. I will not discuss why, or how this has happened. But I will say since you are an old friend, to look after her half sister, who we will also be placing Ashlee in charge of the Raal kingdom for now. If Ivy comes to you for help we WILL kill her right in front of you, do not harbor a criminal. But please have no harm towards Salvant no matter what she has done. Understand if things don’t go well we will have to execute you. And that will mean a war between old friends.’
I looked at the letter for a moment and looked towards the King. Hajime stood only a few feet away from me as Quintin came to his side, slightly concerned for the whole situation anyway. Seeing as there were still fires going on outside. “But Nephew you can’t be serious.” Hajime looked at me. He gave a sigh.
“I can’t expect you to understand Salvant, now just go, as far as I’m concerned You belong to Dakota for what you’ve done. Accident, mistake or not, that is where you should be. Not here. And whatever Ivy told you, don’t listen, corruption is running deep within our circle. It’s hard time to fix it anyway.” I growled slightly , before the guards grabbed the letter, and myself, we appeared at the front door of Dakota’s house. Before long he showed up at the door, and I could help but to feel my heart jump as I got to stand before him.
“Dakota…..” I started. Before explaining everything, I went into an emotional fit, I got on my knee’s to my face into the ground as I begged him to forgive me for what happened two years prior. As the guards held the note. It wasn’t long before Arrow came out, with the child, but I stayed put, more terrified if anything at all.
____
“I’m sorry this had to happen Salvant, if only I had kept a better eye on Arrow. But I didn’t want to seem like I was becoming constricting.” Dakota said as we walked. I had my head lowered, still trying to wipe the tears from my face. Had he read that note, I never expected him to act this way really.
“Why are you being so nice to me. I slept with your wife.”
“Two years ago, and she had amnesia. It was neither of your faults. Should you have known, you probably wouldn’t have done anything with each other.” Dakota said rubbing the back of his neck.
“In being alive for so long, I know it takes little to forgive someone, more little than to hold a grudge.” He told me. As I opened my mouth for a moment but stopped. Shaking my head.
“I can’t understand why you people are so nice to me.” I cried a bit. Dakota ceased walking and turned to me.
“I’m nice because it’s the only thing I can be to someone whose been in pain. And has the look in their eyes of having pain like no other. There is only one other girl who I know who has that look and it is unmistakable. You are more like Ivy then you realise. And how much I care for those people in lockwood is high. I love them to death they are all my family. And just like some of us Ivy was a reject so we stuck together. If we hadn’t been so nice. Things wouldn’t have turned out so smoothly.” Dakota grabbed my hands and held them up to his face, he started to cry. “But please, whatever you do, don’t ever treat her like a monster. She is your sister, and all its form, she is in the most trouble. And not just her everyone else. She’ll blame herself for everything I know that. And you may be a complete stranger but…. but.” He fell to his knee’s dragging me slightly with him. “She’s all we ever had in the past, and I speak for everyone who is dead or alive on that. No one will ever beat the era of Ivy Walker, that is how important she is.” I stopped for a moment, looking at him.
“I had no idea Ivy had that much of an impact. I remember how much father doted over Mary. I had no idea such an ugly creature could fawn so much over someone. When Ivy was born, she was his pride and joy, but that made him even more cruel. And when the planet was destroyed, I never saw her or Allen since then until now. Nor any of my other siblings. I had no idea they had done such a thing for the universe.” I lowered myself and placed a hand on his shoulder the other in his hand. “Whatever it is you have here, it is amazing. And we will get through this. I’ve been through worse. I know.” Dakota smiled and nodded his head. “Let’s head back, before your wife worries that you’re trying to scrape my guts out of the snow.” She laughed lifting the taller man to his feet.

What do you say when your life is placed out in front of you in the form of two lines? One is red and one is blue, you have the choice of cutting one or the other. You aren’t told what they do, but you know deep inside, if you cut the wrong one your life could change forever.
“Get your lazy ass up!” I shot up to catch the pillow Ness threw at me, growling at my brother for a moment. The orange haired young adult raised an eyebrow before pointing down the stairs. “Yaru’s downstairs, he wants to talk to you.” I moved to look at the clock for a moment. It was nearly five in the morning, what was Yaru doing here so early in the morning. I placed my hand behind my neck to stretch it out before I sighed and looked at Ness. He turned and exited the door to return to his room, probably to go back to sleep.
I took my covers and removed them so that I could sit on the end of the left side of the bed. My room was pretty simple, a two person bed sat in the middle. My closet sat off to the left in front of where I was sitting. Next to it on the right was the bathroom, the walls were decorated with light green wallpaper. A few feet in front of the bed was the double doors that imprinted the exit of my room. After I turned twenty three I had earned enough from the organization to move into this two story house. All of us were growing older, and after the incident that had taken place we started to notice how much earth was dying.
I stood up, despite being in my pajamas I highly doubted Yaru would care. He probably had his daughter with him as well. Little Seika was cute, almost ten now I felt old but me and Tori had stopped aging we would look like we were in mid twenties forever. My actual age I forgot, I had stopped counting after Ness turned twenty five. Probably around my mid thirties and considering Yaru and his wife Cat(one of my best friends) were only a year older I could only guess their age. Sonnie crackled in the edge of my left ear, the jackal giving a groggy growl but I knew we couldn’t just leave the director waiting in my living room so I headed down the stairs.
As I stepped down the twisting flight of stairs I looked over to see Yaru sitting with Seika next to him. Her hair had grown out some, now it was long and sleek, her striking violet eyes she had gotten when she turned five due to the earths dying state was definitely an interesting thing to look at. Perhaps with it, it meant that Cat and Yaru were changing too since it seemed to only affect humans. Yaru still had dirty blonde hair, his left eye was permanently yellow since his bionic parts had trouble keeping the skin. When I scented him, I pressed my fingers to my tender nose for a moment. Was the outside getting worse?
Sitting on the couch across from them, I moved my hand away. “What’s up?” I asked the man, he didn’t seem to be in a very good. Seika was rather creepy, she was one of those kids who smiled in the corner no matter what happened. She had her fathers stoic emotions, and yet when it came to the Cat part of her she was a devil in sheep's clothing. You had to watch her, or she’d put worms and all sorts of things in your drink. Tori’s son had a wonderful time dealing with her as an “older sister”. My eyes flashed purple for a moment as I went to look back at Yaru.
“As you can tell, things are getting worse.” Yaru lifted up his arm, the artificial flesh was fading off of him like candle wax. I frowned a little bit, “I was looking at other worlds and I think I found one, it’s in bad shape as well but if we help them figure it out than we could use it as a new home.” He pulled out his phone, a holographic image showed a small portion of land with three walls. Great, I looked at him.
